Aurora Animation taken from Mt John, Tekapo - New Zealand




Although it was very faint there was a small aurora tonight which I managed to capture with this time lapse animation, the glow south of Mt John under the horizon is caused by the lights from the ice skating rink, luckily they turn there lights off at 10pm, you can see the difference at the end of this animation 17mm f/2.8 ISO 6400 30 Seconds x 137 photos, playing at 12 frames per second
